Take a look at the Race Route

This new 10K event begins and finishes at The Woodford Centre (SK7 1PS) – the first 2km of the route is on quiet rural roads then turning onto public footpaths and tracks. Towards the end of the run there is a slight grassy hill before finishing on flat quiet rural roads. This is a new 10K event that has been organised specifically to raise funds for local charities/causes. In this our second year we have chosen to support the Seashell Trust.

Well organised day, enjoyed the route although too slippery in parts. Good marshalling, although one needed on the car park as I nearly got ran over on the last stretch by faster runners driving out of the car park to go home.

Get rid of the chip timing, to bring cost down it’s a bit expensive.

Would do the run again but if Gawswoth is on the same day I would probably do that as it’s cheaper.

Great prizes, (I enjoyed my socks) Great goody bag at the end, allways nice to recieve a medal.

well organised but suggest route is changed for next year, single track was too muddy and some parts off road were slightly dangerous, i cut my finger open on the downhill part next to the A34 bypass, i have no problems with the price as its for a good cause.

  • Angus Rose:

A great event. Really well-organised with friendly support staff and marshals throughout the route. An excellent atmosphere. Chip timing a bonus with PC available to check your time against. Course varied – wear trail shoes for the slippery bits!

A big thank you to the organisers. Well done.

  • martin williams:

well organised but single track section far to narrow, no opportunity to overtake for extended periods. Get rid of chip timing and make it cheaper?

Do it again but wider alternative course if possible.
